I started Talon Systems a little over 25 years ago with a few clear objectives: improve student training, support and enforce good training practices, and make it far easier and less time-consuming for managers to oversee training—identifying issues in real time and acting before they grow into problems.
To that end, we built Talon ETA, a flight training management system that covers everything a flight school needs. It’s curriculum-centric. Yes, it handles scheduling—but it’s really a training management system, and that’s what sets us apart from other tools.
The first module we built was the curriculum manager, and everything else was built around it. The curriculum drives the entire system, which also includes scheduling, dispatching, training records, qualifications and currencies, financials, and more.
We also developed Talon RMS to manage maintenance and inventory for aircraft, simulators, and even vehicles. And we built TalonSMART, a safety management system for running safety programs—managing concerns, incidents, investigations, findings, corrective actions, audits, and reporting.
Our Company
Founded in May 2001, our hallmark product is ETA (Education and Training Administration), an internet-based flight training management system supporting thousands of users and training activities every day. We also build RMS (Resource Maintenance System), which runs stand-alone or fully integrated with ETA.
Our Services
The combination of ETA for flight training management and an integrated RMS for maintenance management offers flight schools a single affordable solution for their entire flight training operation. Talon Systems is a small business with over 70 years of combined experience doing business with the U.S. Government as well as commercial and educational entities. We work with defense contractors, the Department of Defense, and top university and commercial flight programs.
